Consolidation and Reflection

The students are now working away on research projects. You have inspired them to find their topics and you have assisted them when they looked for help.

You may have worked with them on designing a questionnaire or helped them to write an email to an NGO. Maybe you put them in contact with an expert on marine pollution and they carried out an interview. Maybe they learned how to produce a website or a podcast. Maybe they wrote a song or a poem or produced a mural. These are all examples of research activities and outcomes developed during CEPNET in our schools. Our teachers were instrumental in guiding our students.

In this final section, we would like you to reflect on your learning. Do you feel that you can implement this second phase with your students?

It is important that you continue to bear in mind the feedback from our teachers as you support your students through this action learning project. They have seen many benefits emerging from this research phase.

Keep an eye out for any such developments as your groups get going and the projects are heating up…
